Hail To The Truck Driver

I was watching the new Larry the Cable Guy show on the History Channel this weekend. On it he visited the world’s largest truck stop and paid tribute to America’s truck drivers. He said that some of them work up to “Eighty hours a week.” As a nine to five’er I felt sick and sad at my lack of fortitude. But those guys are the real deal. True salt of the Earth Americans with a great story to tell, and a commitment to working hard.

I thought for a while about how much I loved truckers growing up. First of all Tonka trucks were some of the best toys, I loved playing in the dirt with those heavy plastic and metal contraptions. When I thought some more I remembered family car trips and how I loved riding alongside the huge trucks on the highway. We would move our arms up and down asking the trucks to honk their huge horns and often (when they could see us) they would!

Car transport trucks were always amongst the most impressive. Cars dragging piles of other cars around! What could be more impressive to an adolescent mind than that? Honestly nothing. Honestly even today car transporting has an allure to me. I just love watching those big rigs and dreaming of where they are headed.

Interstate Car Transport Works Both Ways

Say you’ve just moved about 6 months ago to another state. You decided on interstate car transport to get you to your new home, job, and life. Everything was working out well, but life happens. Maybe your job wasn’t as stable as you had hoped. Maybe you need to move back home to family because of an emergency. Maybe you just hate where you moved.

It happens. Luckily, that same auto transport you used to get to your new place can help you get back home just as efficiently. Since you’ve already gone through the process  before, you’ll know exactly how to arrange your pick up or if you want to bring it to the actual company. You’ll know to have your car nice and clean and void of any personal belongings.

So don’t let the move back upset you. Things happen in life and you have to roll with the punches. But at least you know your car will also be rolling right along on a truck, safe and sound. Because with everything else going on, you don’t want to worry about how or where your car is going to end up.

Interstate Car Transport Works Even When Your Car Doesn’t

You have everything packed and ready to go and you are about to head to the car transport company with your car to get everything all set for the move. You’ve taken all your personal belongings out of the truck, gave it a once over cleaning just to be safe, and are about to go. The key is in the ignition and you give it a turn but nothing happens. You try again and the engine sputters, then dies. Well now how are you going to get your car transported?

Thankfully, all is not lost. Inoperable cars are transported all the time. You can call up and get the company over to your place to pick the car up. It can either be towed on to a trailer or a winch can be used. This works if your car can roll and steer. If it can’t even do that,  a forklift can be used to lift your car and place it on the trailer for transport.

So don’t get stuck just because your car is. You can still get that interstate car transport service even if you can’t get your car moving.

Auto Transport California Can Get You Across the State

Calif0rnia is huge.  It’s 796 miles long from north to south. In the time it would take you to get from the very top to the very bottom you could drive through several states on the other coast. So if you plan on moving from San Diego up to Eureka, it’s going to be a very long trip, even if you drive the whole 12 hours or so straight.

That’s why you should look into auto transport California options. While you can book a ticket on a train and relax for your trip up the coast, someone else can be worrying about your car. Or you can pack everything up in the moving truck and drive that way, knowing you can keep an eye on all your other belongings while someone else keeps an eye on your car and gets it where it has to go.

You could drive up the coast and go sight seeing, but then you have to worry about gas and hotel rooms along the way. It’s an added expense you don’t need when already paying to move. Save that for your vacation time off from your new job, but for now, leave your car in good hands by opting for auto transport.

What To Do Post-Car Transport

So you are moving to another state to live the dream. Maybe that dream is to be a movie star, a world renowned chef, or a professional juggler. Whatever it is that you feel you were destined to be great at, you have to go after it, right? And sometimes making that big move, just to pick up and go, is the best choice you can make for yourself. So you  packed your  bags, got on a flight, and set your car up for auto transport. But what happens after all that?

Well first, you should know whether your car is going right to your door or will be shipped to a specific location of the transport company you are using. The last thing you wanna do is get to your new home and think, “wait, where the heck’s my car?”

After you do pick up your car, inspect everything. The inside, the outside, and underneath. You want to make sure everything is exactly how it was when you passed it over to them. Of course, if you go with United Routes, you can be assured everything will be perfect after your interstate car transport.

Enclosed Auto Transport for Your Sports Car

Some people really see their car as their pride and joy. Whether it’s that Mustang you’ve had and taken miraculous care of since the 80s or your Lamborghini you spent years saving up for, sometimes you don’t want your interstate car transport to be on an open air truck for all to see.

The idea of random people on the highway seeing your most prized possession driving down the road can be frightening. You certainly wouldn’t want anyone to get any ideas about trying to break into the car.

You also don’t want it to be exposed to dirt and the elements. You spent so much time taking care of that paint job, waxing and cleaning and making it shine. You don’t want to find your car has specks and dents from it’s trip.

That’s why enclosed auto transport is so important. Your car is driven into an enclosed truck and safely secured, so no outside damage occurs and your sports car is safe from any prying eyes. It’s the best choice for those who want secrecy and want to keep their car in it’s best condition.

Don’t let your car transport be stressful. Know it’s in good hands and safely tucked away.

Car Transporting is Great For Short Distances, Too

You might think moving just three states over isn’t that long of a trip and that you should probably just drive your car over yourself. But consider how much stuff you have going with you; is it all going to fit into your little sedan? Probably not. You are going to need a moving truck. And while you can hire movers to drive that for you, wouldn’t you feel better knowing you have a handle on all your furniture and valuables and not a couple of strangers?

Car transporting is absolutely an option for shorter moves. Even if the trip takes half a day, you are better off having a handle on all your important things and leaving the car in the hands of professionals.  Besides, you can then set out anytime you’d like, knowing your car will be right behind you. Or if you really want it can be sent ahead so by the time you get to your new  home and settle in, you can take it for a spin to the nearby grocery to stock up for your first dinner in your new place.

Don’t shy away from interstate car transport even if you feel you don’t have far to go. It’ll ease the stress, no matter what the distance!

Don’t Leave These Things In Your Car Before Auto Transport

It might make sense to most people to clean out their car before sending it off to its destination. After all, someone else is going to be handling your car and you don’t want to lose anything on the way or be embarrassed by what is left behind. Before auto transport, it’s important to do a thorough cleaning on the inside so you can get everything you may need out of it before it’s long trip. There are  a few things you want to make sure not to leave in your car:

1) Money and Valuables - Never, ever leave money or anything else of value in the car. First of all, you are going to miss your iPod when you realize its on the road somewhere without you there to listen to it. You always don’t want any of these things to go missing.

2) A Mess – Seriously, it’s common courtesy to clean up your car. After all if the guy shipping your car is going to be driving it onto the truck to secure it, you don’t want to gross him out in the process.

3)Travel Necessities – Like your travel sized toiletries or luggage bags. Sometimes when we go on a road trip we leave these things there until we need them again. But you are going to need them for the trip you are making in addition to your interstate car transport, so don’t leave them in here to only waste money on buying it all again.
